Respiratory Infections Symptoms
Symptoms to Watch Out For
Respiratory infections can feel different depending on the cause and how your body reacts. But here are some of the most common symptoms:
- Cough (dry or with mucus)
- Sneezing
- Sore throat
- Runny or stuffy nose
- Fever or chills
- Fatigue
- Body aches
- Shortness of breath or chest pain (for more serious infections)
If you have symptoms that last more than 10 days, get worse instead of better, or include trouble breathing, high fever, or chest tightness—get medical attention ASAP.
Also, if you’re coughing up green or bloody mucus, that’s not something to ignore.
