Becky G Pushes Back On Gray Hair Slander: No. I Do Not Care That My Canas Are Showing

Rebecca Marie García Is Not One To Stay Quiet

On June 5, 2025, Becky G posted a Tiktok video to address something that clearly has been weighing on her. She starts by confessing that it’s “growing up on the internet is hella weird. It’s hella f*cking weird,” and she goes on to say that she has learned quite a few things throughout her time on the platform.

“This one particular thing I was like you know what? I really want to talk about it,” adds the “Dime que haces” singer.

The Mexican-American singer shares that she had been covering up her grays often for videos so that they wouldn’t show but took a break for three reasons (that many of us can relate to).

“Um one, expensive. Two, who the hell’s got time for that? And three, can you blame a girl?” says Becky G. “It’s natural??” She adds.

Anyone who has booked a salon visit to dye their hair knows the process can take anywhere from 90 minutes to eight hours. So yes, who has time for that? And along with the time commitment, getting your hair professionally colored will run you at least couple hundred dollars—and that’s on the low end.

A Call For Gray Haired Girlies To Unite

As she was wrapping up her video, Becky G reveals, “I call them my sparkles.” Then, the triple-threat Inglewood-native asks her sparkle gang to show up “because I know I’m not the only one. I can’t be. I’m not the only one that just doesn’t feel bonita but is stressita too.” The support she received was not one anyone expected.
